This research investigated the predominant approach adopted during Enterprise System implementations: waterfall, agile, or hybrid. The study focused on SAP system implementations and comprised two main components. The initial phase involved analyzing the ASAP waterfall methodology and Activate agile methodology to assess their adherence to the waterfall and agile paradigms, respectively. The second phase consisted of a case study examining two implementation projects, aiming to uncover the practical methodologies employed by consultants in project completion. The conclusion is that Enterprise System projects tend to embrace a hybrid approach, closely resembling water-scrum-fall. This involves establishing a fixed scope, implementing rigorous project planning, adopting an agile approach during the realization phase, and deploying a waterfall methodology for the final system deployment.
