Impact of Covid-19 on Emotional Acceptance of E-Services: Evidence from Poland
Narcyz Roztocki, Wojciech Strzelczyk, Heinz Roland Weistroffer
This paper reports on an empirical study on the emotional acceptance of e-government services by residents in Poland after the official revocation of the state of epidemic emergency related to COVID-19. In a survey, 956 employees of local and regional government bodies shared their impressions dealing with public services’ clients and the changes in their behaviors. The results indicate that the emotional acceptance of e-services did increase, though not dramatically. The originality of the paper is that it is perhaps the first report on a study that assesses the impact of COVID-19 on e-services immediately after widespread restrictions, including those related to the direct access to administrative offices, were lifted.
