This study compares how high-tech and low-tech organizations use IT to balance efficiency with environmental responsibility. By looking at their different approaches—Green IS for high-tech and Green IT for low-tech, we can see which one helps the environment more. The research also examines how IT integration affects energy consumption and resource management, considering factors like the rebound effect and regulations. Overall, this paper aims to help policymakers and businesses find ways to use technology without harming the environment.
