Effects of AI Interview System Anthropomorphism and Social Power on Candidates' Attitudes Toward Firm
RUWEN TIAN, David (Jingjun) Xu, Marius Claudy
AI interviews streamline large-scale recruitment by saving time and resources, but candidates often have negative feelings about them. We aim to understand how the human-like features of AI interviews and people's different social power levels affect their feelings about the interview. These moderating effects may be mediated by perceived justice, anxiety, warmth, and competence. Our study contributes to the understanding of the impact and underlying mechanisms of anthropomorphism and social power on attitudes toward AI interviews.
