AI has become an increasingly important tool embraced by both professionals and students alike. However, its potential to either enhance or hinder individual abilities remains limited. While existing research has primarily focused on AI's capacity to address complex organizational challenges, its impact on soft skills, particularly in the context of GenAI, remains largely unexplored. With the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and expertise in diverse subject areas with GenAI, individuals are presented with opportunities to cultivate and enhance (or hinder) their soft skills in novel ways. Understanding GenAI’s impact on soft skills would provide valuable insights into the changing nature of work and the skills demanded in the workplace.
